Even though the technology of attaching your electric car to a charging station hasn’t even come close to taking over society, it is already begun to be succeeded by better technology.

What seemed impossible before now has finally become a reality. The Japanese company Nissan has very nearly created a new way to charge their version of the electric car the Nissan Leaf. They have almost created a wireless electric car charger.

The new charger has come in the form of a “charging pad.” To charge the car you simply have to park your vehicle on top of the pad.

The new charging device, much like rechargeable electric toothbrushes, charges by electromagnetic induction. The electricity is extracted from the charging coil that is lodged in a housing, which is position on a garage floor, into openings inside of the car.

With the help of this new technology recharging your electric vehicle can be a care free task. All you have to do is, drive your car squarely onto the charging pad and leave it to charge, when you wake up in the morning the car will be fully charged and ready to go.

Hopefully soon to change the system is 90 percent as efficient as the normal plug in charging system, which means that your car will charge in about eight hours.

If a small child or animal were to crawl under the vehicle there would be no physical danger, for as the transmission unit is transmitting it only converts three-six kilowatts, experts say.

Korean researchers have reported to be working on an electric powered bus that is powered by a continuous pulse of energy that comes from a cable that is buried under the road.

The idea, that was considered to be fiction, of making a vehicle that doesn’t have to be recharged or refueled might finally  become a reality.
